..A Christmas Prayer..

Another year is about to culminate. While everybody is busy with the Christmas traditions such as buying gifts, attending parties and food preparations, I'd busied myself with this prayer:

..On counting the blessings..
Thank you foremost God for this very moment that I am alive and for the strength to write this blog..
You planned to put me around the people that I may be molded the way You wanted me to be shaped. Thank you for my much-loving, supportive and prayerful family!
My family, although we are not together, are all in good shape. Thank  you  God for the treasure of good health.
God, I am so far away from my family but thank you for providing me with  people who cares like a family does. Thank you God for the love of friends.
I oftentimes go home drained and tired, but thank you for the everyday strength you are providing me that I may be able to care for my sick patients and that they may be able to see You through me. Thank you for the gift of a noble job.

..On blessing others..
God, while I am enjoying  your bountifulness, let me not forget that there are people who needs me to share Your abundance.
..for  all the sick, the children and the elderly, those who can't afford to purchase medicines ,those who are at their homes because of the unavalability of health services, the debilitated and the hopeless brought by their infirmities. Grant them God the source of hope as well as their families that their sufferings may be alleviated. May I not forget  that someday, my own body will also fail.

..for all those who are suffering of a loss:
-loss of a job
-loss of wealth
-loss of  health
-loss of  a sense of direction
-loss of a love one
-loss of faith
Help them understand and accept that hitting a rock bottom is just a beginning of something better. May I also be reminded that whatever I haven't lost is not mine. It belongs to You.

..for all those who are in search:
-in search for love
-in search for happiness
-in search for themselves
-in search for their purpose
-in search for meaning of life
Show them the path that they may be able find their heart's longing.

..for all those who are in orphanages and home for the aged..the poor, the oppressed, the injustice and the abuse..for all those who are imprisoned: by anger, grudges, ambitions and greed.,
Use me God that I may be a blessing to them even in little ways I know. Work through me that others may see You through me. May this season be a reminder not  about the gifts we received but the gifts You had given us that we  are capable to give. Remind me that this season is not about me but about You and how losing oneself can be a gain to others. Use me God, use me for Your Glory alone.

My fervent prayer, Amen.
